That the terms child and children appear in the Scriptures almost 2,000 times is evidence that God is conscious of “little ones.” In John 21:15-17, the Lord commanded Peter to “feed my lambs,” or in the Greek embellishment, “my little lambs.” In our day when public education is “dumbing down” America’s children, it is imperative that the Church guard against the cheapening of God’s truth for our children. Sadly, however, we are witnessing a generation arising that has not received “line upon line and precept upon precept” concerning the truth of the Word of God. While much of the world’s music for children is merely socialistic, visceral entertainment, most “Christian” music for children has become a blend of watered-down truth in a flashy, cheap wrapper. When such weak music makes its way into Christian homes, it becomes an enticement that can lead a child to eventually accept Contemporary Christian Music.

There is an honorable “child’s” view of the gospel that is most appropriate for his little heart. This perspective should convey a simplicity, innocency, and holy naivety that is pure and biblical. This recording “Keep Me, Lord” expresses these precious characteristics with the prayer that God will keep our children as they grow up in a wicked world bent to destroy their lives and tender hearts for God. The sequence of these selections follows somewhat the unfolding of truth appropriate for children. Beginning with God’s goodness in Creation and the need of His provision in Redemption, these songs also express trust, God’s Word, steadfastness, prayer, thanksgiving, the Lord’s Birth and Resurrection, and finally Heaven.

We gladly welcome this new recording by the Foundations Christian Academy Children's Chorus to the recordings of the Foundations Ministries. We pray that God will keep these 11 voices (ages 9-14) to ever sing and live unto His glory. May their musical offering prove to be a precious contribution to your children's growth in God as well as to the spiritual environment of your home.
